Winnipeg police provide an update on the suspicious death of Linda Beardy, whose remains were found at the Brady Road landfill on Monday.

Winnipeg police say they will give an update Thursday afternoon on the suspicious death of a 33-year-old woman whose body was found in a city landfill this week.

Police will hold a news conference at 2:15 p.m. CT to provide an update on the investigation into the death of Linda Mary Beardy.

CBC News will stream the conference live here, as well as on YouTube, Facebook and CBC Gem.

Staff at the city’s Brady Road Resource Management Facility discovered Beardy’s remains there on Monday afternoon, police said on Tuesday.

Police said at that point they considered the circumstances around her death suspicious, but hadn’t yet classified it as a homicide.

Beardy was a member of Lake St. Martin First Nation and a mother of four.
