Tornado warning for Kenora region ends

A tornado warning for the Kenora region has ended.

Earlier Monday evening, residents near the Kenora area were being urged to take caution as a severe storm swept through.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) said a severe thunderstorm moving through the region could possibly create a tornado.

It also cautioned toonie-sized hail hail, damaging winds, and intense rain of as much as 50 mm per hour were possible.

ECCC said to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
