A 64-year-old man’s death in southwestern Manitoba is being investigated as a homicide, RCMP say.

A 64-year-old man’s death in southwestern Manitoba is being investigated as a homicide, RCMP say.

On Wednesday, a First Nation safety officer responded to a well-being check at a home in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, RCMP said in a news release Thursday.

The safety officer who went to the home found the body of a 64-year-old man from Sioux Valley, RCMP say.

RCMP also went to the home and they are investigating the man’s death as a homicide.

Sioux Valley Dakota Nation is about 240 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
