Man dies after pickup truck crashes, rolls, hits SUV in southwestern Manitoba

A 59-year-old man is dead after crashing and rolling his pickup truck near the community of Ninette in southwestern Manitoba.

RCMP were called around 10 p.m. Saturday about an erratic driver in a grey pickup truck travelling on Highway 23.

Officers  responding to the call came across a crash at a bridge along the highway, just east of Ninette and about 50 kilometres southeast of Brandon, Man. One of the vehicles involved was a grey pickup truck.

Police say the driver lost control of his truck and hit the concrete portion of the bridge railing, causing his vehicle to roll and collide with an SUV.

The 59-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The people in the SUV were not physically injured.
