Police make 2nd arrest in connection to 19-year-old’s death in Winnipeg
Winnipeg police say they have arrested a second suspect in the murder of a 19-year-old man earlier this month.
River Harper was found dead in the hallway of an Assiniboine Avenue apartment building on Feb. 7.
On Tuesday, RCMP in Island Lake arrested 21-year-old Jrayden Monias in connection with the murder, city police announced in a news release Wednesday.
The man has been turned over to the Winnipeg police’s homicide unit and is now in custody, the release said.
Police had asked the public for help finding Monias, who was wanted for manslaughter, on Tuesday.
He’s the second person charged in connection to Harper’s murder.
On Friday, police arrested 20-year-old Jadar Morrison. He was charged with manslaughter, and is also in custody.
