18-year-old man arrested in June northern Manitoba homicide

An 18-year-old man police had been trying to find for more than a month has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, Manitoba RCMP say.

An arrest warrant had been issued for  Terrence Head-Martin, 18, on June 11 in connection with the killing in Mosakahiken Cree Nation, in northern Manitoba.

RCMP said officers were called with reports of an unresponsive man inside a residence on Sinclair Street in Moose Lake, where Mosakahiken Cree Nation is located, on June 7.

They found the victim, a 29-year-old man, dead in the home with injuries that suggested a homicide. Police have not released the victim’s name.

Head-Martin was identified as a suspect in the killing and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Head-Martin has since been arrested, RCMP said in a news release Monday. They did not say where or when he was arrested.
