A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the Gardiner Expressway late Wednesday, Toronto police say.
The collision happened shortly after 10 p.m. close to where the expressway crosses over the Humber River, police said in a series of posts on X, formerly called Twitter.
The driver remained at the scene.
Police did not provide any additional details about the circumstances of the collision.
Westbound lanes of the Gardiner were closed at Jameson Avenue for several hours while police investigated.
