Victim of fatal Rexdale shooting identified as man from Mission, B.C.

Toronto police say a Mission, B.C., man was killed on Sunday night in a shooting in the city’s northwest end.

Jasmit Badesha, 25, was found with gunshot wounds in Toronto’s Rexdale neighbourhood. Police were called to the scene at about 11:40 p.m. 

Badesha was found outside a residential building near a parking lot in the area of Bergamot Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard area, near Islington Avenue, police say.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one has been arrested in the killing.

Badesha is the city’s 12th homicide victim of the year.

Investigators are asking witnesses, anyone who has dashcam or surveillance video, or anyone with information to come forward.
