Toronto police are searching a green space in Stoney Creek, Ont., for evidence in relation to two separate shootings near a north Toronto bus stop last week, police confirmed to CBC News.

Toronto police are searching a green space in Stoney Creek, Ont., for evidence in relation to two separate shootings near a north Toronto bus stop last week, police confirmed to CBC News.

In a statement Friday, the service said investigators are searching the green space of Valley Park “for evidence.”

The search is being led by police’s emergency management and public order unit, supported by district special constables, the marine unit for Felker’s Creek and Drone Operators, police spokesperson Victor Paul Kwong said in a statement.

The shootings which took place last Friday and Saturday killed a 39-year-old man and left a 16-year-old boy with “significant” injuries.
