Toronto police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in the city’s northwest as 15-year-old Mario Giddings.

Toronto police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in the city’s northwest as 15-year-old Mario Giddings.

Police identified the teen in a news release Tuesday, saying he was found in a plaza on Trethewey Drive at Black Creek Drive around 7:44 p.m. Monday.

A dark-coloured vehicle was seen entering the plaza that night and a gun was fired before the vehicle sped away, according to the news release.

Giddings was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to reach out, or contact Crime Stoppers.
