Robbers drive truck into Scarborough store, damage gas line

Robbers drove a truck into a store in a Scarborough plaza Wednesday evening, hitting a gas line, Toronto police say.
In a post on social media, police say they were called just before 6:30 p.m. about a robbery in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Brimley Road.
The suspects robbed another store before fleeing in a separate light-coloured vehicle, police say.
No one was injured but the area was temporarily evacuated because the truck hit a gas line and damaged it.
The gas line was repaired at around 8 p.m., police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Police are now searching for four to five suspects.
