One person taken to hospital following two-alarm fire in North York
One person has been taken to the hospital following a two-alarm fire at home in North York, say Toronto police.
The blaze broke out in the Hillcrest Village neighbourhood, at 10 Lehar Cres., just north of Finch Avenue East and east of Leslie Street.
Emergency responders were called to that area around 8:10 p.m.
Toronto fire told CP24 that crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a two-storey home.
All occupants were out of the residence when they got there, however a male patient was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The fire is now under control. Firefighters remain on scene doing overhaul and ventilating to ensure it is out.
The cause, circumstances, and origin of this fire are not yet known.
