Emaciated dog found dead, wrapped in garbage bag in Scarborough

Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance with an animal cruelty investigation after a dog was found dead and wrapped in a garbage bag on Saturday in Scarborough.

Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance with an animal cruelty investigation after a dog was found dead and wrapped in a garbage bag on Saturday in Scarborough. 

Police located the dog on Feb. 24 in the Morningside Avenue and Danzig Street area, according to a Thursday news release.

“The dog is believed to be an American Bulldog mix, light brown in colour with white markings on its head and snout,” police said.

They say the dog was found severely emaciated and malnourished. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact police. They can also provide information anonymously at Crime Stoppers.
