New regulations threaten an emerging mountain art festival

Jasper, Alberta has hosted the UpLift! mural festival to bring more public art into the mountain community for the past three years. While there have always been rules governing development inside a national park, Parks Canada recently introduced new policies specifically regulating how murals can be created. CBC’s Radio Active spoke with festival organizers, artists and parks officials to learn more about the controversial move and what it could mean for the festival.
