Jaeden Chaisson, 17-year-old St. Albert stabbing victim, dies

One of the teenaged victims of a Thursday night stabbing in St. Albert has died.

St. Albert RCMP issued a media statement stating that the 17-year-old victim succumbed to her injuries in hospital late Saturday afternoon.

Thursday night about 10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man hurting a female at a residence. They discovered two teenage girls, 13 and 17, with multiple stab wounds.

Early Saturday, 28-year-old Kaj Randall was arrested by RCMP officers.

After a bail hearing, Randall was remanded into custody. He’s scheduled to appear in court on July 22.
