Building where security guard died saw shooting 2 weeks earlier

A man was shot in the same apartment building where a security guard was killed two weeks before the death.

Harshandeep Singh, 20, was fatally shot in the building at 107 Avenue and 106 Street in the early morning hours of Dec. 6.

The Edmonton Police Service confirms officers responded to a shooting at the same building at 4:45 a.m. on Nov. 21.

A man was taken to hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made in connection to that shooting and police are still investigating.

Evan Rain, 30, and Judith Saulteaux, 30, are charged with first-degree murder in Singh’s death.

The pair remain in custody ahead of a bail hearing on Jan. 8.

The building where the shootings happened is currently up for sale.

According to a listing on Realtor.ca, it was built in 1971 and has 36 residential units spread over three floors and six retail bays on the main floor.

The asking price is $7,949,800.
