Pole fire leaves thousands without power in Winnipeg’s Westwood and Crestview neighbourhoods
Thousands in Winnipeg’s Westwood and Crestview neighbourhoods are without power after a pole fire Sunday afternoon.
In a post on X – formerly known as Twitter, Manitoba Hydro said crews were dealing with a pole fire on Oakdale Drive.
According to Manitoba Hydro’s outage map, approximately 2,000 customers are effected. Power is expected to be restored Sunday evening between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
“We’re working to get customers back on as quickly as possible,” Manitoba Hydro said in its post, thanking customers for their patience.
