Selkirk RCMP release sketch in effort to identify man found dead in Red River
Manitoba RCMP are seeking help from the public to identify the body of a man who was pulled out of the Red River northeast of Winnipeg late last month.
Selkirk RCMP received a report of a body floating near the 3900 block of Henderson Highway, in the rural municipality of East St. Paul, on Sept. 21, police said in a release a few days after the discovery.
An autopsy determined the man’s death wasn’t criminal in nature, but police are still trying to identify the body.
On Friday, police released a composite sketch of the man.
RCMP are asking anyone who can help identify the man to call 204-482-1222, or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
