Calgary police investigating ‘targeted’ shooting in city’s southeast

The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Calgary’s Douglasdale community.
Police responded to reports of shots fired at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday on Douglas Ridge Circle S.E.
One person is dead and police say they believe the shooting was “targeted,” meaning it wasn’t a random attack.
Investigators are on scene gathering surveillance camera footage and talking to witnesses.
