Calgary homicide detectives say body found in downtown parking lot
The Calgary Police Service’s homicide unit was called to investigate the discovery of a body near Eighth Avenue Southwest and Ninth Street Southwest on Tuesday night.
A Calgary police spokesperson told Global News on Wednesday that the discovery is being investigated as an “undetermined death, pending the results of an autopsy.”
Officers were first called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. and remained there overnight.
Police taped off the perimeter of a parking lot where a vehicle remained alongside a police cruiser on Wednesday morning.
Police have not released any details about the person found dead.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday Nov. 16 to determine the cause of death.
