Amber alert issued by Waskesiu Lake RCMP for 5-day-old baby
An Amber Alert has been issued by Waskesiu Lake RCMP for a 5-day-old baby boy Koda Moccasin.
According to an alert sent around 5:08 p.m., the baby was taken from a health centre early on Thursday afternoon.
RCMP said the baby was last seen wearing a blue sleeper and was believed to have been taken by Merlin Junior Crookedneck.
Crookedneck is 35-years-old and is described as being five foot 11 inches with a stocky build. He has short dark hair and brown eyes.
RCMP said the suspect is believed to be driving a black 2022 Hyundai Tuscon SUV with license plate 965 NAN.
Crookedneck may be travelling to the Big River, Loon Lake, or Mudie Lake areas, according to RCMP
If anyone has any information about the child, they are asked to call 911 or the Saskatchewan RCMP at 639-625-3605 immediately. The public is also advised that if they see the suspect, to not approach him.
