Potential gas leak forces an evacuation in Coronation, Alta., Monday night
Some residents of a southern Alberta town were forced to leave their homes Monday due to a potential gas leak.
RCMP say at ATCO was dispatched to the scene in Coronation, about 174 kilometres east of Red Deer.
Police say the local fire department evacuated homes from the immediate area, specifically along Norfolk Avenue.
The Coronation Town Hall was opened for anyone who was asked to leave their homes.
Mounties advised people to follow all direction provided by emergency personnel.
